1 serious reason of price rise

Price Rise!!
Price Rise!!
Price Rise!!

Every second moment we listen these words. Every body telling what has risen and how much risen. But on the lighter node, every body love if SHARE (Stock) price rises, property price rises. Is price rise good in economics or in business ? I don't know (might be ?) . But what I know , “No body things why this happen and why this is happening so fast, and what the solution to slow down this.” I found the reason of it, Ifs and buts are always there but no body will say this is not the cause of price rise. I know there are lots of things which are not in our control but there are some. Here I have tried to explain my point view on price rise (I am only taking day to day goods in to consideration like beans, grains, onion, milk etc.)

Why does these prices rise? In the simplest form when every the big gap between demand and supply the price will rise. Demand is increasing because we are increasing in numbers. But we are not able to increase supply with the rate the demand is increasing. And here is the problem.

Means, we have not given the farming the same status as we have give to other occupations. If you ask most of the people in villages what you do? They feel more comfortable in saying I am unemployed rather than a FARMER. I don't know why they take farming as inferior occupation. That is why people are running out of villages, which increase the pressure on cities. And hence is less production of vegetables and other products , this is not so solid to say that this is the reason of price rise, but it is. I met few of the farmers who have small amount of land, when ever I say why don't you saw vegetables and flowers, they say there is no market for it. (They are right in their sense. ) So we are bound to grow only grains and think of other alternatives of earning. Which automatically reduces the productivity .

Same with the milk, It was said that India is the country where milk flows in river, But what happen now is that there are villages where we will not found the cattle specially in HARYANA. Why?, because we have not given the same status to Milkman in society as a shopkeeper has, there may be many more reasons but it is a reason. We should find the reasons why the younger generation is not opting the farming as their career, even after passing out B.E./B. Tech in agriculture form IITs. These people go abroad and provide various way to increase productivity, ways for better storage, ways to increase commutation links between farmlands and markets. There are some governmental issues as well, such as storage problem, distribution plans.

Over economics is based on farming rather than export import base, that is why we are able to tolerate the jolt of ressession. So its my request to some of my friends not to leave village as well as farming, on the other hand start selling Milk products and use your education for the improvement of status of Farming. These things happens in various countries in the world where people opt farming and related works as their career (especially in Australia) .

And my appeal to government please give his active time toward the farming as it gives toward the CWG or other matters.

  1. nice post dude.
i want to mention some points:
    1. Farmers are also not categorized. as we all know there are too much competition in each area. so the big farmers used to grab the land of small farmers and they turned to businessman from farmer.
    2. Same situation is of milk products also. the expenses of keeping kettles and their proper maintainence is a big problem, so no new generation is going for that, it is like a "pustaini business" only.
    3. Taking in the account, general articles or goods are also much in demand, but that is not such big problem as it shows to us. Today we are developing because of our population. we are stable because of our population.

Population provides us cheap and efficient workers, so its easy to produce here, so only thing is that we need to improve our productivity and then population will automatically control, and our people start to think. We can't force indian public to reduce population, but we can create such message in their mind. thats what we need to do.

This government has no proper vision, so it is waisting of country time and this will extend the time of our development.
So govt. must provide such environment, where all types of growth become possible.

  2. Thanx ajay for taking the matter seriously.

Yes I know biggest resouce for any country is the HUMAN RESOURCE. I am not against of HUMAN but I have tried to highlight, a misutilization or under-utilization of this resource by taking the example of farming.

We have good scope in FARMING,If the people are encourged to do so, rather than showing that farmer is only poor in all field(intelligence, politics etc). If we have better farming than we can trade-off with other goods as well.(Even with the Patrol, Diesel etc.)

  3. okay,
let me clear the picture. so few more points:

    1. Human resource is good for every country, but if we able to increase the quality of our resource (human), you know then only we will develop. otherwise we will always work for others and others will become developed and we will always be developing country.
    2. Come to point farming, it is not such an issue right now, because at any situation we are not able to produce such high quantity of grains that we can survive even 3-4 years, without importing. Only America is the nation who can survive most up to 100 years. so its our dependency on others.
    3. here we have also problem of space, as we all know there are too much space in whole world, we will go there and shift and will make whole world our home, "wasudaive kutumbkam".

So i mainly focus on policies that provides our people better environment ti grow, Rest people will do itself. so we have to think how we can provide that environment.

  4. Nice Post vinay...glad to read your thoughts again!!
I want to add some more points . The very first one is that india has proper resources to produce things for its own needs, but involved person(like farmers) are having lack of proper guidance and knowledge. Now there are sufficient means of transport and communication and should be utilised for the agriculture and production.Japan and China are good example of it.
Second point has already mentioned by Vinay. Its about our thinking .Most of the new generation is fascinated to all career options except agriculture. If some one wants to contribute in country's development can opt agriculture as an career too.
    Btw thanks for the post!!

  5. Yes!!
Dinesh, I know we can grow better and bigger, Ifs and buts will always be there in any form of business. But we can't stop only bcz this happened and that happened,
We can have great productivity and than can trade off with any thing.
    thanx for supporting my view.

Means of commutation is a challenge!!!
But One day it will be resolved if we take this Occupation seriously.

  7. @Ajay good points .I agree that dependency is there but by using proper techniques and knowledge that can be reduced. If import of the basic needs is minimised then only the price hike of daily use things can be controlled.Though America is developed but it also has dependency on other countries in many ways .Zinc, sugar & steel are imported by U.S. from india too.So no country is independent at all .But India's dependency on others nations for agri products at large scale is major cause of price hike in country now days.So it is time to use all available resources (physical, man pwer and intelligence) to produce the basic needs so that nation can afford the import from other countries .
Japan has integrated its technique to agriculture and is best example for India.
Hopefully Indian government shall also take part actively(Not only on papers)for the same.
